Inspite of the planned and special provision for accelerated socio-economic development of neglected/disadvantaged sections, the issue of orphans and street children remains unaddressed. Our internal desktop review has shown that the problem of uncatered for and malnourished orphans and homeless children is huge and reasons range from urbanization / industrialization (leading to excessive flooding and displacement), death of parents due to HIV/AIDS and other related ailments, remarriage of deserted widowed /divorced women, unwanted pregnancies, sexual exploitation of young girls and the current insecurity in the country as a result of bandit attacks, which has left many orphaned. These abandoned children end up roaming the streets aimlessly, picking pockets and participating in anti-social and criminal activities.

Vision
The vision of the foundation is to build a society which loves and accepts orphans and vulnerable children so as to attain healing of their emotional wounds, build the confidence and create a space and opportunities to facilitate the development of their talents to enable them live in dignity and respect.
Mission
The mission of the foundation is to ensure that adequate care and support is provided to both orphans and vulnerable children, abandoned by parents and families, and assisting such children to be educated and trained so as to be successful and useful members of the community.
Our Focus
The Faith and Grace Compassionate and Care Foundation Orphanage envisages to lay a good foundation and bring up orphaned and other vulnerable children that will enable them to live in any setting be it rural or urban. The idea is to give children exposure to community life, provide them with skills and opportunity to use acquired skills to undertake practical productive work. The intention is not to turn them into laborers but to orientate them to real community life experiences so that they become responsible adults, who are independent, self-reliant and happy to engage in productive work.
